My Story

Brittany is the owner, founder, and psychotherapist of Brittany M Pippins LCSW, LLC. She received her Associate of Arts degree from Hinds Community College and her Bachelor's and Masters' in Social Work degrees with a minor in Psychology from The University of Southern Mississippi (SMTTT!).

As a child, she had little to no knowledge of mental/behavioral health due to limited resources in her area, and it was something no one ever openly talked about. Growing up, she was determined to be more than a stereotype. In doing so, she became the first person in her family to graduate with a college degree and break a "generational curse" most African American families believe exists.

Brittany always states, "You never know who's watching, so always strive to be the best version of yourself because it can potentially be motivating to someone you didn't know was paying attention."

Brittany M Pippins LCSW, LLC was started to help spread the knowledge regarding the benefits of therapeutic counseling, alleviating the negative perceptions associated with it, and providing a service many people don't have access to. It will allow individuals to have a safe place to be heard. Services will be tailored to individual needs and individuals will be able to explore their feelings, beliefs, and behaviors, work through challenging or influential memories, identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, better understand themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.  As Brittany states, "I transformed and so can you."
